Mattias Flander is a professional engineer (P.E) licensed in Texas and based in Houston. Mattias got his degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where he focused on precision machine and medical device design. He has over 8 years of experience working as a design engineer and project manager at Schlumberger, focusing on downhole tool design for Coiled Tubing and Wireline, as well as design of hydraulic surface machinery and well control equipment for the oil and gas industry.

In 2020 he decided to leave Schlumberger to expand his portfolio beyond the oil and gas industry by starting Flander Engineering.
